I asked the owner why he had a pig as a pet and somebody he was talking to answered : "Because we're in America!"...
He simply added : "Why not?!"

Fair enough.

I love that building : it is beautiful and what you find inside is also pretty good. A must go!

As far as screaming is concerned, so far, it's the best I have tasted in the city...

Right when I needed it

This is an American habit I have always revered.

Whenever you go, whenever you need some, you'll find some clean free convenience station...

This is something the French (Ministère du Tourisme) could learn from!

Until San Francisco, I had never seen any.
It's ugly as sin.

Anybody would be in love already. San Francisco in the sun is certainly stunning! 

Some like it hot

Apparently I am not the only one.

Empty beach on a windy week day.

Scary dogs and sand lashing at my face... I stayed 15 seconds on that beach whose name I do not remember.

Disappearing Act

I saw this piece driving home from school one afternoon in May. I took a photo with my smart phone and because I was not quite happy with it, I knew I was going to come back and take another one...

I never could. It disappeared before I had a chance to drive by again...

Lesson learned.

Red buds

I don't know what they are but they are everywhere in SF.

Hummingbirds love them so you'll see them around these trees very often.

I love these buds. They are exquisite. So delicate.

Everybody has heard about this house in France. (Everybody knows the song)
I knew about it before I set foot in the city but I had always assumed it was fictional. It is not.

Last year, some kind of 'official' thing went on. The singer was supposed to come by and sang. The house, that had turned a different color was repainted blue for the occasion and a sign is now on its wall...

Few American cities have their French song : San Francisco and New york are among the happy few to have theirs!

Naples in San Francisco

Nowadays if you google Naples, you will get 2 very distinct sets of photos...

To me, Naples evokes clothes hanging from the windows in narrow streets. A traditional sight in the south of Europe for sure!

So here's Naples : right here in San Francisco!

Decomposed Zombie

Amazing mural. Super scary.
